Like many large complex organisations, the UK's National Health Service has previously found it difficult to innovate with technology, but is now responding to the COVID-19 crisis by engaging faster than ever with tech innovation from the private sector... this may become more than a crisis response and grow into a step change in the NHS's ability to use its resources efficiently. 

However, it is essential to also remember the need for state-of-the-art security around mission critical innovation. And after the pandemic, and the rapid digital adoption it has motivated, there will be longer term challenges for organisations to make this kind of innovation safe and sustainable.
