Many companies are currently in survival mode and are understandably less focused on filing Covid-19 related claims.  However, the impact of broken contracts and the resulting avalanche of lawsuits won’t be far behind, particularly as businesses re-start with depleted cash reserves, cancelled orders and uncertain futures.

The question is, will they take an aggressive approach as we saw after the 2008 financial crisis, or will they gather evidence of losses sustained to enable them to resolve disputes through conciliation and to preserve critical commercial relationships?
