Telecom Operators continue to pour ever more CAPEX into new infrastructure as the exponential growth in demand for data looks set to continue unabated.

But the logic that all new customers are good to make use of an empty network is a thing of the past. Operators need to focus in understanding the true cost of different service offerings and customers who use them.

In the attached article, my colleagues Sherwin Godinho, Jasdeep Batra and I argue that it is time for operators to charge heavy-use customers for the burden they put on the network or have the confidence to say goodbye to them.
