Regulators, on the other hand, are escalating requirements for measuring, reporting, and disclosing targets and progress. Competition within the industry is not only about product superiority but also revolves around the level of ambition concerning net-zero goals or supply chain transparency, categorizing companies as 'leaders' or 'followers.' Employees seek meaningful work and conscientious employers, while customers require upstream information to validate their measurements, ambitions, and claims. Investors exert pressure for enhanced ESG transparency, holding companies accountable for their claims and progress to make informed investment decisions.
